The Alers team prides itself on an ethical, welcoming approach, combining in-house design with reliable logistics to ensure safe, high-quality, and delivered fun for children.
Our Workmanship
Alers Jungle Gyms is a family-owned business, proudly managed with a personal touch that ensures every client feels valued and at home.
Established on 1 July 1989 with a team of just three people, the company began by manufacturing wooden toys. Over the years, it has grown into one of South Africa’s leading developers and manufacturers of high-quality steel jungle gyms. In June 2026, we proudly celebrated 37 years of excellence, built on a foundation of integrity, reliability, and unwavering ethical business practices. Today, our footprint includes more than 14,000 items within our rental market, along with thousands more sold for private and commercial clients across the country.
We remain committed to delivering durable, safe, and cost-effective solutions, ensuring exceptional value for every client we serve.
We specialise in the manufacturing of high-quality steel outdoor playground equipment, as well as the rental of our products. Our company proudly offers one of the largest and most diverse ranges of outdoor playground equipment available.
As leaders in the industry, all our products are designed and developed in-house, with valuable input from our clients. This ensures innovative, practical solutions tailored to real needs. You can trust us to build safe, durable, and engaging jungle gyms for children of all ages. To further expand our offering, we have introduced a range of wheeled toys — including scooters and tricycles — under our Penny Wheel Toys brand.
Our rental division caters to a wide variety of clients, from private household use to larger installations at playgrounds, nursery schools, aftercare centres, primary schools, estates, sports grounds, shopping centres, churches, and lodges.
Jungle gyms are globally recognised as one of the most effective tools for developmental play.
At Alers Jungle Gyms, our equipment is thoughtfully designed to support every aspect of a child’s growth. Each structure provides the essential stimulation needed to develop both gross and fine motor skills. Beyond physical development, outdoor play fosters important social, emotional, and cognitive skills, helping children build a strong foundation for life.
Choose Alers Jungle Gyms to create a safe, active, and enriching environment for your child.
We take care of the engineering, so you can focus on their fun.
With over 37 years of heritage,
Alers Jungle Gyms blends expert craftsmanship with an uncompromising commitment to child safety.
As a leading South African manufacturer, we use only the highest-grade materials to ensure every structure is as durable as it is secure.
We don’t just build jungle gyms; we build peace of mind for parents and schools who refuse to compromise on quality & safety.
